Bio

Giselle Alers is a High-Level Ambassador and Chairwoman of the Global Economic Sustainable Development Commission under the United Nations Association of El Salvador (UNA-SV), where she is pioneering initiatives that merge impact financing with sustainable development strategies. Her work at the Commission is all about creating financial models that prioritize positive social and environmental outcomes alongside economic growth, turning capital into a catalyst for real change.

Giselle’s leadership extends beyond the Commission as the CEO and founder of Global Creative Economy Inc. (GCE), an international organization dedicated to fostering inclusive development and alleviating poverty through innovative business practices and cultural intelligence. At GCE, she leads projects that focus on talent transfer, economic innovation, and community empowerment, with a steadfast commitment to a Conscious Economy and human-centered design.

Her journey into global advocacy began with a solid background in accounting and a passion for community activism. Giselle has always championed the rights of youth with special needs, immigrants, and underrepresented communities. Her early work with Latin American consulates in New Jersey and New York eventually led her to the global stage, where she has spent over a decade collaborating with world leaders at the United Nations.

Giselle’s work with resilient communities includes her support for Son Bata, an NGO based in La Comuna 13, Medellín, Colombia, where she helps amplify local voices and drive sustainable change. She is also the Director of Partnerships and Strategic Alliances for the Organization for Poverty Alleviation and Development (OPAD), which holds consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), where she builds global coalitions to combat poverty and promote equity.

Her influence spans multiple sectors. She is a board member of the Global Alliance of Latinos in Agriculture (GALA) and serves on the Advisory Committee of the New Jersey Performance Art Center (NJPAC). A champion of Fintech innovation, Giselle is dedicated to bridging traditional finance with impact investment as an active member of the Center for Research Toward Advancing Financial Technology (CRAFT) at Stevens Institute of Technology.

In every role, Giselle is a force for unity, resilience, and hope. She is not only leading organizations, she is igniting a movement to build a world where opportunity, dignity, prosperity and a culture of peace are within reach for all.
