Bio
Angélica Gómez Prada is a dynamic young leader known for her deep commitment to social impact, youth empowerment, and sustainable development. With a multidisciplinary academic background in Social Communication, Journalism, Political Science, and currently pursuing a dual Master’s degree in Public Management and Government, Angélica brings a powerful blend of insight, purpose, and action to every space she enters.
Her career spans across academia, media, the public and private sectors, foundations, and both non-profit and for-profit organizations. Notably, she served as Head of Press and Communications for the Office of the First Lady of the Department of Santander, Colombia. She also played a key role in the Secretary of Competitiveness and Productivity, where she helped lead strategies around international cooperation and regional business growth.
Angélica is also the driving force behind ET Foundation in Barranquilla, Colombia, a social enterprise committed to transforming the lives of vulnerable youth. Through access to education, bilingual training, soft skills development, and real job placement in the tech sector, the ET Foundation has already impacted over 200 young people. By 2025, the goal is to reach 500, all while building a new generation of skilled, socially conscious talent.
Recognized for her vision of “Being Different”, Angélica has earned national and international recognition for her youth-centered initiatives. Most recently, she was appointed by merit to the Global Economic Sustainable Development Commission (GESDC) as Youth Ambassador for Latin America, where she co-chairs the Youth Council, a role that reflects both her leadership and deep-rooted mission.,

In her role with GESDC, Angélica’s mission is clear: to amplify youth voices and build bridges between communities, governments, academia, and global organizations.
She aims to champion initiatives that offer real, scalable solutions for young people, especially those from underserved backgrounds, through education, workforce development, and innovation. By fostering collaboration across sectors, Angélica envisions creating sustainable ecosystems where youth can thrive as changemakers, not just beneficiaries.
At the heart of her mission is a firm belief: that discipline, education, and opportunity are the pillars of empowerment. Her focus will be on creating spaces where young people are not only heard, but equipped, inspired, and supported to lead. Through her work at GESDC, she’s committed to shaping a future where the next generation becomes the driving force of inclusive, global development.
